Country artist Miranda Lambert was just one of the celebs that went to Twitter, slamming the Grammys for “honoring” Chris Brown during music’s biggest night, just 3 years after he was charged with felony battery against Rihanna and she didn’t stop there. During her concert last night, she held up a sign that someone from the audience made that said “Take notes Chris Brown” right before she sang her song “Gunpowder and Lead.” A song about an abused women who is preparing to kill her abusive husband. Thanks to Youtube and cell phones, we’ve got the video.
During the Grammy Awards, Lambert tweeted “Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl,” she tweeted, before adding “Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”
During her concert at UMass Friday night, Lambert held up the sign and said Get a good picture now, put it on Twitter. I’ve been in a world of hurt with Chris Brown fans lately … but see, I just have to speak my mind because where I come from beating up on a woman is never okay.”
